Washington D.C. Medical Billing, Credentialing

Washington Dc Medical Billing & Credentialing

Medwave is pleased to offer our medical billing and credentialing services to healthcare professionals in the City of Washington, D.C. and surrounding communities.

Washington D.C. is a national center for patient care and medical research. There is currently a total of 16 medical centers located in the District of Columbia, with numerous other medical research centers in the DC area, most recently the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

Washington Hospital Center is the largest hospital campus in the District and is both the largest private and the largest non-profit hospital in the metropolitan area. Immediately adjacent to the Center is the National Rehabilitation Hospital and Children’s National Medical Center. Children’s is among the highest ranked pediatric hospitals in the nation and also provides care at 23 regional outpatient centers through the region.

Another prominent area hospital is the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The 550-bed hospital provided care for active-duty and retired personnel and their dependents from all branches of the armed forces until 2011.  Under the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Act, Walter Reed Hospital combined with the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Maryland in 2011 to form the tri-service Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). The grounds and historic buildings of the old campus are being redeveloped as the Parks at Walter Reed.

Three universities in Washington have medical schools and associated teaching hospitals. The George Washington University Medical Center, the Georgetown University Hospital, home to the Lombardi Cancer Center and Howard University Hospital, the only hospital in the nation on the campus of a historically black university.

Managing the overall administration and reimbursement for all these medical facilities and practitioners is definitely not an easy task.

Washington D.C. Medical Billing

  1. Simplify claims and collection procedures: Our trained staff will manage your claims so you can be sure you obtain well-timed and proper reimbursements for your work.
  2. Reduce denials: We assess claims to ensure they are finished before forwarding to insurance, reducing denials.
  3. Free up your staff: We will be administering the billing process, not your staff. They can focus on caring for your patients.
  4. Improved cash flow: We make sure there is a continuous flow of claims going out and cash coming in.
  5. Transparency: You can go over compiled data or observe the process any time. This way, you have an up-to-the-minute picture of how your practice’s billing is being performed.
  6. Security: Protecting your patients’ data is vital. We will make sure to protect all patient information (HIPAA compliant).

Our medical billing staff gives your practice the edge in competing with other Washington, D.C. medical facilities and practices.

Washington D.C. Credentialing

We’ve been doing this for some time and we’re fully aware of how medical credentialing has an effect on your bottom line.

Here are some of the paybacks we offer in our credentialing:

  1. A decrease in application mistakes which would most likely delay the application process
  2. Saves you and your staff time, form-filling and frustration
  3. Frees up staff to work on other tasks such as patient care
  4. You’ll see a decrease in routine operating costs

Medwave is a trustworthy credentialing service. We have experienced better results in getting medical staff credentialed (efficiently) than most other groups. This means you begin seeing clients with insurance(s) sooner; rather than later. Knowing the value of medical credentialing assists any medical provider.
